Post-Remediation Assessment(Clearance Testing)

Independent verification that remediated areas have returned to normal fungal ecology following mold remediation work. This assessment provides objective documentation of post-remediation conditions.

Why Independent Verification Matters

The AQE Difference

Because we do not perform remediation, our clearance testing is genuinely independent. We have no financial interest in the outcome—our only obligation is to provide you with accurate, science-based findings you can trust.

✓ Objective Third-Party

No conflict of interest. We don't sell remediation services, so our findings are unbiased and defensible.

✓ Laboratory-Backed

All samples analyzed by certified mycologists at AEML for reliable, science-based verification.

✓ Clear Documentation

Comprehensive clearance report suitable for real estate transactions, contractors, and insurance purposes.

✓ Professional Standards

Assessment follows industry best practices and standards for post-remediation verification.

What's Included

Visual Inspection of Remediated Areas

Thorough visual evaluation of all treated areas to verify work completion, cleanliness, and proper restoration. We document the condition of affected areas and surrounding zones.

Post-Remediation Air Sampling

Strategic air sampling to evaluate fungal spore levels in remediated areas compared to reference locations and outdoor baselines. Sample quantity based on scope of remediation work.

Laboratory Analysis by Certified Mycologists

All samples processed by AEML with full species identification and spore quantification to determine if normal fungal ecology has been restored.

Clearance Report Documentation

Detailed report documenting post-remediation conditions, laboratory results, comparison to standards, and clearance determination based on findings at the time of assessment.

The Assessment Process

1

Pre-Assessment Requirements

Remediation must be complete and the property should be in a clean, settled condition. HVAC systems should have run for at least 24-48 hours prior to testing if they were part of the scope.

2

On-Site Verification

Your Indoor Environmentalist inspects remediated areas and collects air samples from treated zones and reference locations.

3

Laboratory Analysis

Samples analyzed by AEML within 24-48 hours. Results compared to outdoor baselines and industry standards.

4

Results & Clearance Report

The office receives results within 1-2 days. You receive a formal clearance report within 3-5 business days documenting conditions at the time of assessment.

Understanding Clearance Testing

What Clearance Testing Evaluates

Post-remediation assessment verifies whether fungal spore levels in treated areas have returned to normal conditions comparable to reference areas and outdoor baselines. It is a snapshot of conditions at the specific time of testing.

Documents air quality in remediated areas vs. reference locations

Verifies visible cleanliness and proper completion of remediation work

Provides defensible documentation for all parties involved

Important Note on Pricing

Pricing for clearance testing is based on scope and sampling requirements, not pass/fail outcomes. If initial results indicate elevated levels requiring additional remediation work and re-testing, subsequent assessments are priced separately.
